Founded in 1980 by Merv Grems, Dyno Tech Services LLC rose to meet a critical need—offering dedicated support for AW dynamometers when no one else did. Merv understood that proper maintenance extends machine life, and his expertise quickly became indispensable to dealers across the region.
In 1990, Merv’s son, Mike, joined the company with a focus on rebuilding brake assemblies. Following Merv’s passing in 1992, Mike devoted himself to continuing his father’s legacy—mastering every facet of AW dynamometers and ensuring Dyno Tech remained a pillar of reliability for its customers.
📍 Dyno Tech’s service footprint began in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri, supported by strong relationships with dealers who relied on annual service routes. In 2007, after the passing of the AW representative for Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota, Mike expanded the company’s reach to include these states—bringing his deep technical expertise to a broader audience.
🔧 Our engineering lineage runs deep. Dyno Tech proudly maintains a direct connection to AW’s original development through Aaron Warsaw—son of Art Warsaw, AW’s founder in 1957. As the former owner of Colfax Manufacturing (which produced AW dynamometers), Aaron continues to provide invaluable insight alongside Mike. Together, they represent the final chapter of the original AW team.
✅ We follow manufacturer-recommended procedures, utilizing OEM-approved maintenance lube proven over six decades. Stainless steel service or breather plugs are only replaced when truly necessary—preserving the integrity and longevity of each unit.
⚠️ Please note: We service most AW dynamometers but do not work on AG X Series dynos without written authorization, as they may carry a 10-year warranty.
