We would like you all to know who we are and what we do. Dyno Tech has been selling, servicing, repairing, and rebuilding AW dynamometers since 1980. Mike Grems’s (current owner of Dyno Tech) dad (Merv) started Dyno Tech in 1980 as the service side to selling AW dynamometers. At the time no one from AW was doing any service for the customers who purchased a dyno. Merv knew he would be welcomed by many dealers to take care of the dynos they had purchased from him. He knew how important it was to do proper service to prolong the life of the dynos.
In 1990 Merv hired Mike to help with the rebuilding of the brake assemblies, unfortunately Merv passed away in 1992, at that point Mike knew he had to continue what his dad had started. Mike dove into finding out everything there was to know about AW dynamometers, he knew he didn’t have a chance if he wasn’t up to speed on how the dynos worked. It hasn’t always been a breeze, there have been many obstacles in his path, but he kept pushing forward.
Mike’s regional area in the beginning was Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. Dyno Tech had a service route that we performed each year for our customers, they knew Mike very well and was very pleased with his performance. Mike gained Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota in 2007 after the rep in those states passed away. Mike also sold and installed AW dynos in his area. Mike’s customers were his #1 priority, he knew and still knows, without customers you can’t have a business, so keeping your customers happy and well informed is the most important part of running a business.
One thing you may not know about Dyno Tech, our engineer/designer is Aaron Warsaw, his dad, Art Warsaw founded AW in 1957. Aaron was the owner and operator of Colfax Manufacturing, the company which actually built the AW dynos. Mike and Aaron are the last of the original AW employees, they have a tremendous amount of experience when it comes to ag PTO dynamometers. We continue to reach out for support from Aaron, he lives and breaths dynamometers. We also have the backing of Power Test Dynamometer, the most prominent dynamometer company in the world, you can find our dynos on their website – https://powertestdyno.com/products/agricultural-pto-dynamometers/
We would like an opportunity to earn your business. If you would like more information on when and how often we run our service route we will freely give that information to anyone who wants it.
We would be happy to give you a service quote for the different sizes of dynos that are in operation. We use the same exact maintenance lube that the manufacturer recommends, and has been using for 60 years. We follow all the correct procedures as has been followed for many, many years. We do not change the service plugs since they are stainless steel and should only need replacing when they are not functional any longer.
The dynos we will not be able to service are the AG X series dynos, they have a warranty that we absolutely DO NOT want to void. They have a 10 year no service anyway, so no need for anyone to mess with them.
Our goal is to have your dyno last as many years as possible and we are confident in our abilities to make that happen.
Dyno Tech would be grateful if you would allow us to show you and your locations what our reputation really is.
